@dr_emilly: Fragrance and essential oils in skincare are not automatically irritating to the skin, but they can be an unnecessary risk for sensitive skin or redness prone skin and certainly a damaged skin barrier. Natural fragrance is still fragrance at the end of the day. Remember if botanicals are few and low down the INCI list it’s probably fine but you are looking for any added fragrance or perfum or botanicals and essential oils high up or midway through an INCI list. #fragrancefreeskincare #fragrancefree #essentialoils #sensitiveskin #skinbarrier
I've found too much glycerin is bad for sensitive skin also like the Prequel cleanser

I heard the Madeca cream has essential oils in it - am I correct? I don’t want my skin to break out

I do tolerate fragrance, but I don’t like it in my skincare so I try to avoid it. I have a couple of products with fragrance in it that I use on occasion just because I like the product so much, I actually wrote to La Roche Posay and asked them to make a fragrance free version of their hyalu B5 serum….it fell on def ears. I love that serum when my skin is dry. Thankfully my skin isn’t dry too often so I don’t use it often. I do like the smell though, just my opinion is fragrance doesn’t belong in skincare. It’s counterproductive.

Fragrance scares me not so much natural but in the US they can put toxins without disclosing what’s under that label

Agreed! the most excellent of products can be a hard no for me purely down to added fragrance/oils 😬

We’ve actually developed this as a feature in our app because essential oils can be easily missed when checking the ingredients

My skin doesn't tolerate products with endless lists of botanical extracts, ferments, bifida, or essential oils. I've had to give up on most Korean skincare.

I don't like fragrance in my skincare products. I am not even sensitive to put I just don't like it on my face, I rather have it smelling "medicinal" than fragranced. Bodycare is totally the opposite though, I love me a bodylotion with a nice smell 😍
