The next five years are focused on creating connections between people, businesses, institutions, blockchain infrastructure, and real-world economic activity. For users, InterLink aims to expand ITL utility across categories such as travel, hotels, shopping, food, entertainment, gift cards, and digital services. This could provide more practical opportunities to use ITL in everyday activities. For businesses, IBTE is designed as part of the Real-World Asset strategy. The goal is to make it easier for businesses to tokenize real-world assets and move their operations onto the blockchain. For institutions, the Digital Asset Treasury Network has a long-term target of at least 500 companies and institutions holding ITL, with more than 20% targeted to be publicly listed companies. For the blockchain network itself, Open Mainnet is targeted for 2027. Mobile mining will end, while validators, staking, applications, external liquidity, and real on-chain activity become increasingly important. For global markets, InterLink aims to work toward Tier-1 exchange listings, with Binance, OKX, and Coinbase among the key targets. Strong liquidity, compliance, security, and institutional infrastructure will be necessary to support this ambition. For future security, InterLink is researching and testing post-quantum cryptographic technologies to prepare for challenges associated with quantum computing. For global participation, verification infrastructure will continue to improve so more people can participate in digital asset ownership while strong identity, anti-fraud, KYC/AML, and compliance standards are maintained. Each group has a different role, but they are connected. Users create demand and participate in the ecosystem. Businesses can bring real-world assets and services. Institutions can contribute long-term participation. Developers can build applications. Validators can support network infrastructure. Exchanges can connect the ecosystem to global markets.
