@letsbetechs: Now for the repair on that pain-in-the-ass leak. The best part of editing footage from two months ago is getting to call myself out for half-assing the homestretch. In my defense, it was boiling hot, late in the day, and I still had a one-hour drive to get home. Nobody’s perfect. 😂😂 If another leak pops up in this piping, the whole lineset is getting replaced. I wasn't thrilled with how far apart those original supports were, or the only support I could find in the van to use, but it’ll hold up. #hvac #hvacapprentice #hvactechnician #hvaclife #refrigeration

HVAC is a Profession where even small things should be made to high standards Couse on this field nothing is impossible .That was an improper insulation problem that's why when joining amaflex one should put one piece on top of the other Couse if you do straight joint if water brake a leak on the amaflex that's wher most of the water will move to and metal purity is affected at that point this resulting in a Decay and eventually a leak

🤣 i have seen this before. Please understand I know how this happens. You see the insulation covered the pipe. The installer used a blade to cut the installation. While doing this, he cut the pipe after time. The pipe split

do you have to be cautious about using nitrogen in a closed environment like that?

That nitrogen regulator is awesome. I've never seen one with a braze setting.

my only concern was during the leak confirmation it seemed like the bubble leak check was being pulled into the system which would contaminat the refrigerant. I personally wouldn't have pumped down because of the risk

Electrician here, is there no code for horizontal pipe support? For us it’s at least every meter, vibrations on top of someone cutting that insulation to the pipe is what I’m thinking happened

as always myself and my team enjoy watching someone else do what we do everyday. We primarily do refrigeration in the Charlotte NC area and surroundings. Thanks for sharing your experiences and giving others the opportunity to see what techs do for customers that goes unseen.

I got a question for you, Boss even after you sanded it I’m noticing that the copper is severely pitted. My guess is gonna be the VOC gases are extremely high. Eating away at the copper during moisture production.
