@interlinkt3: Preparing InterLink for the Wider Blockchain Economy 🌐 The future of InterLink is increasingly connected to the wider blockchain economy. The planned Open Mainnet in 2027 is an important part of this vision, but it is supported by six other priorities that address security, businesses, markets, institutions, utility, and participation. Open Mainnet will mark a major transition. Mobile mining will end, and the ecosystem will increasingly rely on validators, staking, applications, external liquidity, and real on-chain activity. These elements can help create a more open and interconnected blockchain environment. However, a wider blockchain economy requires strong security. InterLink is researching and testing post-quantum cryptographic technologies to prepare for future challenges created by advances in quantum computing. It also requires practical business use cases. Through IBTE, InterLink aims to help businesses tokenize real-world assets and move their activities on-chain. This can connect blockchain infrastructure with traditional business operations. A wider economy also requires market access. InterLink aims to work toward Tier-1 exchange listings, with Binance, OKX, and Coinbase among the key targets. Strong liquidity, compliance, security, and institutional infrastructure are important foundations for this objective. Institutional participation is another major part of the roadmap. The Digital Asset Treasury Network has a long-term target of at least 500 companies and institutions holding ITL. For the ecosystem to reach everyday users, utility must also grow. InterLink aims to expand ITL use across travel, hotels, shopping, food, entertainment, gift cards, digital services, and other categories. Finally, wider participation requires reliable verification. InterLink plans to improve verification infrastructure so more people can participate in digital asset ownership while maintaining strong identity, anti-fraud, KYC/AML, and compliance standards. Open Mainnet therefore should not be viewed in isolation. It is one component of a much larger strategy. The broader vision is an ecosystem connected to users, businesses, institutions, applications, markets, and real-world services.
