Key Concerns for Investigation & Action: General Situation: Migrants in Libya are being subjected to systemic abuse, arbitrary detention, unlawful confinement, and inhumane living conditions without basic human rights. Vulnerable Groups: Women and children are facing extreme threats to their safety, physical integrity, and health. Urgent Need: Immediate international protection, humanitarian intervention, field monitoring, and creation of safe evacuation corridors for Eritrean asylum seekers. I urge the diplomatic representation of Libya, alongside the UNHCR and IOM, to take active steps to ensure that international humanitarian laws are upheld, that vulnerable migrants are protected from cruelty and abuse, and that emergency relief reaches those trapped in dangerous environments in Libya.
