Fred Kamau Poultry Farming :
10,000 birds x 0.12 grms/bird = 1,200 kg/day equivalent to 24 bags of 50kg.
1 bag at 3,300 ksh x 24 = 79,200 ksh per day. 1 month the feed cost will be 2,376,000 ksh.
let us assume the birds will be laying at 80% equivalent to 8,000 eggs per day, 8,000 eggs x 30 days = 240,000 eggs/month.
selling an egg at 400 ksh per tray will be at 13.3 ksh per egg.
13.3 ksh/egg x 240,000 eggs = 3,192,000 ksh.
3,192,000 - 2,376,000 = 816,000 ksh after deducting feed cost, deduct the rest power, labour, water and miscellaneous at 100,000 ksh.
716,000 ksh will be your net profit at 80%...thanks you
