Callaway did it on purpose because they was in stock buy back and they needed a way to lower stocks the faster way to do it was to cancel good good and then take the fall

I used to work as brand police for a corporation, and the number of advertising plans I stomped on before they saw the light of day were plenty. That was in the early 2000’s. To see that this commercial passed the sniff test in 2026 is mind boggling.

Im not 💯 on this but I heard they tanked their own stock on purpose for a massive buyback on their part and were gambling that the risk of brand damage/repair to what they'd gain from the buyback 🤷 it would explain how this passed every level to actually get aired... sounds like today's corporate world 🙃
