guys, so, it's not worth divorce bc; first- she has two more kids, if she divorces him, the kids will probably have a trauma almost the same way Hannah have. And second: they need therapy, a divorce won't fix it, therapy will. and other thing: parental FIGURE is NOT the same as FATHER.

girl you have 2 other children, this isnt a divorce fix its a sit down in therapy for as long as it takes. breaking up a home that is happy in the sense of there 2 loving parents is not the way

But OP needs to talk to her husband more, as an adult that was so pressed about his feelings towards a girl that wasn't his bio kid, he should be grown and smart enough to understand that Hannah views him as he views her.... a Step. And as far as I recall you don't have to call your stepdad dad if you don't want to. The husband wanted all the 'dad' credit but not make it official? Yeah he'll get over it, and he better not assume if Hannah gets married she'll ask him to walk her down the aisle. By saying he doesn't want to adopt her and be her legal father on paper, he has to understand what that comes with. Dad is no longer a title, just Stepdad or Mike. No one should be forced to do what they don't want to do. Both have valid feelings but Mike is the adult so he shouldn't be so shocked

I think He needs to also want to adopt her. She doesn't only have to be the only one. Also, he's more of a dad than your biological dad ever was. You don't need papers to call someone dad. She should have given him the opportunity to be ready or want it for himself
