Ask it to challenge your assumptions. Ask what information is missing. Ask where your reasoning is weak. Ask what an expert would disagree with. Ask it to turn a messy process into a repeatable workflow. Ask it what you are overcomplicating. Those small instructions change the quality of the response because they push AI past the first obvious answer. A few of my favorites: “Find the flaw in this plan.” “What am I not asking that matters?” “What’s my biggest blind spot?” “Give me three distinctly different versions.” “What would save me the most time?” “If you were responsible for the outcome, what would you do?” The best prompting often looks less like giving AI a giant paragraph of instructions and more like asking better follow-up questions.
