From Cap’s perspective, he’s trying to save his innocent best friend from his other best friend, from Tony’s perspective, he’s going after the man who murdered his parents, from Bucky’s perspective, he’s being hunted for something he did when he wasn’t in control of himself and is trying to survive.

I HATE the whole "Oh, Steve should have told Tony because he was his friend, blah blah" argument. Okay, I get it, they're friends, they've been friends for a while, but that other jerk was LITERALLY his best friend. I'm sorry, but I'm putting myself in Steve's shoes, and my best friend, who literally grew up with me and knows me better than anyone, who went through a tragedy, was controlled, and has lifelong physical and psychological scars, and then I find out he was controlled to kill someone. The parents of someone I care about deeply know this news is going to hurt them, and they probably won't react well enough or fully understand it because Tony doesn't have the same affection for Bucky that Steve does, since they grew up together.

Steve is really the problem here. Tony literally came to save the both of them and understood that Bucky was brainwashed, but him having to watch that video of his parents being brutally unalived was not how he was supposed to find out it was bucky. He deserved to be told wayyy before he saw that video because it really triggered him.

i feel like people forget that steve only knew hydra killed tony's parents and didnt realize it was actually bucky until he discovered bucky was the winter soldier. nat knew, fury knew, shield knew, but steve is the only one who gets backlash for it. comparing steve's love for bucky to tony is ridiculous. bucky is steve's best friend & at that point his entire world. tony is his coworker. steve is doing everything he can to keep bucky alive, and it isnt his place to discuss what bucky did under brainwashing and abuse. not to mention keeping that from tony was for bucky's safety, literally proved in this scene, because tony would try to kill an innocent man. bucky and steve survived the great depression together boy he dont gaf about tony😭😭✌️

If I was in Tony’s situation I would be blinded by Rage and act the same way as him. If I was in Steve’s situation I would also act the same way as him. Both sides were in the right and controlled by emotions. Just like Zemo planned. You all just have to try to think what you would have done and that in their universe they also just are people like us

“An orphan!” Tony lost them at 21, Steve lost his father when he was a baby from WWI, and then his mother as a teenager.
