Not defending Flock, I don't like them either. But this one isn't real. I spent about a decade as a cellular site engineer working sites for AT&T and Verizon. You already answered it yourself when you switched to 5GHz and it still cut out. A 2.4 device can't reach 5GHz. Your truck Bluetooth is 2.4 only, so nothing on that pole is doing both. And a receiver can't cut your signal, listening is silent. Breaking a link takes a transmitter aimed at you, and that would drop every phone, garage remote and router on the block, not just your camera. What you're describing is dead spots. The music going out is the tell. Those camera links are short range by design on top of it, a few feet with nothing in between, so they fall over constantly in a vehicle.

I leave near one in Ennis and my Ring Door Bell randomly just cuts out. Troubleshooting shows no issues and connected.

More stores are doing tracking also. There are Bluetooth devices in the shelves at Walmart, Target, Kroger, and others now that track your Bluetooth devices to see where you go in the store, how long you stop at a section, etc. They say to target you to sell you more stuff, which i believe. But in the end that is more data that goes into the system that AI can exploit.

Apple or Android mage a different? I just tested my Android in front of a flock camera in Terrell and it didn't cut out. I haven't noticed any troubles but I don't get out much. We don't have any in Wills Point. I didn't doing what you are saying, just wondering if it happens with androids

Yep, every time I pass one (or an axon cam), my wireless CarPlay completely disconnects and I have to turn off WiFi and Bluetooth, turn them back on and reconnect.

Also watch your Apple CarPlay, especially some of the older Apple CarPlay. Wireless Apple CarPlay. I don’t know if it happens on the android auto cause I don’t have an android, but I’ve noticed in three of my vehicles that have Apple CarPlay in certain parts of Mesquite where and I don’t know if they have flat cameras there but my Apple CarPlay will either act up dropout or do something weird also my SiriusXM act up in the same spots.

Well I guess that explains why my phone disconnects and reconnects to my car in the exact same spot pretty much every time I drive down 66 in Royse city near downtown.

Yes! This has been happening to me a lot lately. Ugh! Makes a lot of sense 🙄 I drive from Sachse to Denton this morning and it cut out several times. I thought it was my car’s tech package.
