@in.good.hands.collective: Other ways to help baby tolerate bath time 🛁 • Lower them in slowly, feet/bottom first • Keep them flexed & well-supported • Try a swaddle bath for newborns • Keep hands free for self-soothing • Warm lotion between your hands before applying • Dim lights & reduce extra stimulation • Avoid pouring water directly over their face • Try bath time when they’re fed, rested & regulated • Keep baths SHORT and build tolerance gradually • Use a larger, fluffier towel rather than a baby towel for more warmth & comfort • Use your voice, face & touch to help them feel safe • Consider bathing together for extra support • Pay attention to when they cry—is it the bath, getting undressed, hair washing, or getting OUT? I don't have a dryer to warm up the towel after but I DO have a thermometer and I keep the temp at 100. I even warm up the lotion in my hands before I apply it to him. I even turn the ac completely off in the house long before the bath begins. My small apartment doesn't permit me to bathe him in the bathroom so I can't steam up the room and change him in there unfortunately... I think it's just a manner of funds at this point. If I had more money I could make it more comfortable but I just don't :/

my son loves bath time but cries during lotion and massage time. I wonder if its because the lotion is cold? hes stays so stiff.
