This respectful cultural documentary explores Jhator, commonly known as Tibetan sky burial, and the beliefs about impermanence, generosity, rebirth, and the relationship between human life and the high-altitude environment that give the rite its meaning. Sky burial is one of several funeral traditions practiced across Tibetan communities. Through non-graphic imagery, this film follows the role of prayer, the Bardo, the Durkhrod ritual ground, the Rogyapa, juniper smoke, tsampa, and Himalayan vultures.
