I was stage crew for my school’s production of Anne Frank. At one point during the show, I had to go onstage to reset one of the bedrooms. Well, I tripped, completely ate it, and the next scene started before I could get myself together. So naturally, I just rolled under the bed and prayed the audience couldn’t see me. They could. They absolutely could. 😭

I was in Rent and we were doing the song New Year's Eve which is a pretty long number. About 80% throught the number it just restarted. So we all just sort of looked at each other like wtf and fucking reset and just did the number again! Turns out up in the booth, a literal fly landed on the iPad and restarted the damn song.

I once attended a play where the stage curtain got stuck under a dining room table. Every actor said their lines casually tugging at that curtain, but I didn't truly lose it until they sent out the stage manager, who had a broom. Dude in black casually swept the stage, swept himself over to the curtain and fixed the problem. I think of this often 🤣

I remember doing Oklahoma and “the little wonder” prop wasn’t preset for a scene. Myself and the other actor on stage SOMEHOW managed to get through the scene without the actual prop. We were pretty proud of ourselves, and then some chorus person ran on and handed it to us. Then that other actor started the scene over from the beginning. 😳 It was hell.
