So what ancient Egyptians did for their hygiene or what they deemed necessary, NO LONGER APPLY TODAY, due to the fact we, as a population, keep cleaner on average than them. HOWEVER when referring to historic events you typically still describe the things they did with what was deemed the correct purpose for them. Example being: lobotomies are referred to as procedures usually despite their barbaric nature. That is only because back then they considered the procedure an actual treatment. We now know it was literally just inhumane torture and brutalizing, but when referring to it, we still call it a procedure of some sort. •this post is simply a correction on the narrative that shaving has always been what it is today.
