When two people get married, they become one. Marriage should not be about who earns more money or who contributes more financially. What matters is that both partners understand that they are building one life, one family, and one future together.
If one partner has more financial capacity at a particular time, that person should be willing to carry more of the burden without making the other person feel less important or less valuable. At another time, the situation may change, and the other partner may be the one carrying more of the responsibility.
The problem sometimes is that we allow fear and too many โwhat ifsโ to control our decisions. โWhat if things donโt work out?โ โWhat if something happens?โ โWhat if I give too much?โ These thoughts can create unnecessary suspicion and prevent couples from fully trusting and supporting each other.
