Yep..canning skills, i can crochet blankets, i can kill chickens for food, i dont rely on my phone, tv or internet for anything..i was raised as a red neck and would gladly go hunting for deer,cow , ect. Momma didnt raise no chicken.

Gotta say, I bought the Jackery Explorer 2000 just for my fridge & freezer. It's much more power than I need according to an electrician friend. But it will handle start up draw & provide a steady amount of electricity. I got the solar panels as well. Fantastic purchase, glad I am prepared now.

Fact check: this idea came from a NY Times article about a hypothetical worst-case scenario in which our grids may be attacked. They are absolutely NOT planning a nation wide 18 month long blackout.

Whats crazy is you have to have money for all this a lot of people are struggling paying bills and won’t have the luxury of being able to be prepared.

I have 18 flashlights 3 camp lamps (2 are solar charging) 2 Jackery solar generators 18 gallons for water stored and am getting one of the systems that pulls water out of the air for clean drinking water. I also have 4 Boxes of MREs along with other freeze dried food. I am good to go.
