I am originally from the U.K. and have been living in Moscow for the last 8 years. I love it here and have found all Russians to be very friendly and welcoming.

I’m British and went a few months ago. Be prepared for a very long wait at border control, but the interview is not hard if you act normal. It was about a 5 hour wait with a 20 minute interview about what I was doing, what job I do, what job my parents do, just making sure I’ll leave on time basically, but once I was there the locals were lovely. Everyone was so friendly and quite curious

it's our crooked UK government that has issues with Russia. As just a standard brit I have no issues with Russia. I bumped into a Russian in England while we both waited for a Train. we had a chat all about the far right in Ukraine for about 30 minutes.

I lived in Russia in 2019 and the Russian people are so nice and so friendly and helpful and just wonderful. I understand why people may have an issue with the politics but your average person in the street has little to no control over that.

Personally I don't have anything against the Russian people, it's the Russian government that I'm not okay with and my government who isn't open to Russians unfortunately. Wars are started by governments, not the people.
