I did this! After not wearing them for long you HAVE to wear them for 3-4 weeks 23hrs a day then you can go back to nights! I soaked mine in warm water n dawn n shook them for a while then cleaned them with a toothbrush really good

i just got my braces off recently and my orthodontist told me to wash my retainers with a separate toothbrush and dawn dish soap! she said it will remove the bacteria without damaging the plastic

This is how I had to get a root canal. My retainer moved one of my teeth too quick and the whole tooth died 😫 I’ll never do it again!!!

as a da, you can buy polident tablets and soak them. and either buy an extra tooth brush or denture brush and brush them really good under hot water. they’ll likely feel uncomfortable since you haven’t worn them in awhile.

Buy an a ultrasonic cleaner on Amazon they’re less than $25 usually and drop them in there with a retainer tablet

I use retainer cleaner tablets from Amazon! Drop the tablets in room temp water and let it soak for a bit then rinse!! I use every morning when I take out my retainers

Don’t use really warm water it can shrink but use cold water and use retainer tablets on Amazon to clean them the brand that I use is amazing the brand has an extra strength one it’s called M3 naturals and there is a foam on Amazon to clean them too the brand is called Guru Nanda I use it and it’s so good !! Soak them in 10 minutes and rinse and then use the foam and let them sit with the foam for 10 minutes and use a new toothbrush to clean them ! 💗
