For those who are confused, Ichigo has a few variants of his bankai, (I’m assuming there is a stronger > weakest) the normal one we saw in Cour 1 of TYBW, Blood Chains from the last episode and the one that gets broken Tensa Zangetsu. Tensa Zangetsu is his TRUE Bankai, it’s assumed that he can alter and choose from the range of bankai that have been shown and it’s also probably that there is a Quincy/Fullbring version to his bankai as well.
