I think the worst challenge being a SAHM is the feeling of being worthless and belittling yourself even after all of the house chores you have accomplish everyday just because of one simple reason: you do not earn money so it feels we dont have value 😭😭😭😭

I raise my 2 kids at home for 10 years and my husband keeps said to me I do nothing and too his family too. I didn’t get paid and everytime I needed something for myself or kids I don’t have money so I asked him to spare money for me and still get comments I wasted his money 😭.

I am a Public Health specialist and I choose to be a SAHM 🙏🏻 I was working remotely, but I resigned a few months ago. Ever since people found out that I’m no longer working, every time they see me, they ask, “When are you going to start working again?” Some even say, “Maybe you should find a job outside the home and send your baby to school.” I usually respond, “If I have to pay someone to look after my baby, why can’t I stay home and take care of him myself?” I honestly don’t understand why some people are so concerned about my decision to stay home and take care of my children. Sometimes, they behave as if they are the ones feeding my family. 🥲 Imagine having four kids and wanting to be there when they leave for school and, most importantly, being there to welcome them home when they return. That is something I value. Choosing to stay home and raise my children doesn’t mean I have no ambition or that I’m doing nothing with my life. It’s simply a choice I’ve made for my family at this stage of my life—and I’m okay with it. ❤️Thank you for sharing that💖
