@authorsofmarlowe: this is what treatment resistant depression looks like. it’s not that i’m resistant to treatment. my biology is. i’ve been doing EVERYTHING.
so many people still claim to be supportive of mental health issues but when someone’s depression is more than just feeling sad or thinking they suck they get soo fucking scared it’s insane. don’t even get me started on when people post their rooms that are messy as fuck because of depression and people react this exact same way lol

I want to say you have helped me not feel alone. I hate how people don’t try to understand severe mental illness (or even be decent human beings) and I wish you all the best

You've helped me 💙 You verbalising these things helps me realise what I'm dealing with and I've discussed several of the things you've done to help yourself with those that look after me to keep me safer too. You are loved, some people just shouldn't talk a lot of the time (not you, you're kind and intelligent and helpful).

hey Marlowe can you have your caregiver do the comment sorting for you if possible? i know seeing the comments can be triggering and it might help if someone helps you soft through them 🥺 I send you love and care and I can't wait to hear you giggling and laughing again 💕

When you’re ready to come back, we will be here. The ones who can understand and know some of the struggles you deal with. You are not alone, do whatever it takes to make you comfortable and at ease. F*ck what these nonbelievers have to say, they don’t understand sh*t and don’t have the capacity to. You are seen, you are loved and you are cared for. I have only been able to find ppl who struggle with both ocd and depression here on tt, and it’s been hell trying to be understood without being looked down upon

too many people don't fucking recognize the people they see on the Internet as actual people
I'm so so sorry you're dealing with this
the second people see any kind of condition they can't romanticize they blame you for it
I want to thank you for sharing stuff with us
you've helped me realize my antidepressants aren't doing as much as they should be and I've reached out to my psych to hopefully get it sorted
I hope people get their heads out of their asses and remember you're a person going through a lot and it's not fair to you that they're piss babies

You can set up really really robust comment filters just fyi. Block whole words, block anything triggering etc. it’s not a 100% fix but might be useful in conjunction with your caregiver ✨ (I used to have an account with my face where I spoke about being trans and my hEDS and DID and got ran off from doxxing but before that I was decently insulated by just having like 50 blocks for my comments. It occasionally caught Ernest people but my audience understood

Could your fiance/caretaker go through your comments before you and delete verbally a.b.u.s.i.v.e. ones so they can't distress you? I'm glad you're here🥹.

Inherently it’s your responsibility to justify what keeps you healthy, safe and stable to randoms on the internet. Continue to live your life as best as you can and as you see fit. Your fiancé loves you and also paid to take care of the person they love!

I have chronic anxiety and ocd, to the point I can't eat or leave my house without having to take rescue medication most of the time and my anxiety is medication resistant in terms of ssris, snris and mood stabilizers. I am so so sorry you are struggling so much, but knowing I am not so alone in how bad my mental health is genuinely so so helpful. Having severe mental health is genuinely the loneliest I've ever felt. Thank you for sharing your story, you've helped me ❤️

you're situation is obviously very complex. but you're doing the best you can. and you're still here so you're doing something right. recognizing that you want and deserve feeling better, is so huge. have you looked into tms? I wonder if that could be helpful if your medications aren't quite getting you where you would like to be.

I used to not be allowed to access my medications and they were in a lock box too. I still struggle but I do wanna say I'm at a place now that there is no lock box. I'm sorry you're dealing with weird people on the internet. stay strong friend 💕

You got this Marlowe you'll pull through and I agree about how the hospital is a rescue. Unless someone is an immediate danger to themselves or others I don't think gping is needed. The hospital is traumatic for the neurodivergent.

Dissociation is a huge component to this as well im sure you know, but dissociation can cause “treatment resistant” mental health disorders. Inpatient is not the answer to most mental problems. It is if you are a current danger to yourself or others but most treatment resistance wont exactly be helped by force.

Im so proud of you - I wish I had 1/4 of the courage you have to even speak those words out loud never mind publicly. I feel very similar to you - and I have never spoken those words out loud. I am 10 years older than you and I look ip to you. Thank you for sharing your story and thank you for staying another day. Take care ❤️

if your fiance can set up creator care mode, you can also filter specific key words in the comment settings. you can set it up to where specific common phrases just kick straight to a seperate filter and you can block and delete every single one. i hope you get back to a better baseline soon, you deserve the world.

I am so proud of you. it is so difficult with treatment resistance depression, and despite the vitriol people are giving you, you're still getting better. even just having less therapy per week and gaining more access to your medication proves that. these people will never know how difficult it is, and idk if this means much, but im so proud of you ❤️❤️

hey. I'm glad you're here. I've been in therapy for 15 years on/off. you are taking it moment at a time. i hear you. I want to keep hearing from you. (parasocial impacts of also understanding the weight of long term mental healthcare & chronic illness; please don't take it as overreach, just meant as a reminder of care for you with no strings, effort or expectation.)
