You’re not wrong hun. Doing my job I’ve dealt with this so many times. Us men tend to bottle things up. If we talk we see ourselves as weak so we smile and hide until we can’t hide behind the smiles any more. It sounds like your friend couldn’t cope with the loss he had suffered. Talking is good and in most cases it can help to see the world and the emotions differently. There are things that men can’t talk about in the same way you women talk. The message is clear we need to talk we also need to “not” be scared to ask someone if they are alright if you notice something wrong. Men or women can help each other. Poor chap , he lived a long life but the last couple of years must have broken him , you just have to console yourself that he is with his family again and yes you are right men don’t talk , I lost my wife 8 years ago at age of 55 and just try to keep myself together for sake of my children and grandchildren x

It's just not a man thing I lived with my best friend and partner for 23year's she had mental health problems sadly lost her in the end to suaside it is the worst thing to happen it never leaves you always thinking if what or maybe but the person with the answers is gone and leaves a mess 💔
