just picked up drawing at 35. it's hard, I'm awful at it, but that's okay. sometimes you just gotta learn to give yourself the grace to be bad at something and keep working away. don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to the person you would be if you never tried

As an adult that started learning fiddle in my late 30’s I love this so much. I played in band as a kid but then didn’t play music for a large part of my adult life. It’s easy to find reasons not to - and then during the pandemic I, too, said “fuck this” and just decided to do it.

Started guitar lessons at 39. Took me that long to figure out that my junior high teacher saying “music isn’t for you” isn’t legally binding. At 52, music is the only thing that keeps me tethered to life. Guitar, bass and piano.

small hands are fine with guitar it's all about technique. look at john frusciante. medium size hands. will swan has fat fingers and is super technical
