Druski is actually pulling off satire in a world were people have grown accustomed to using the phrase "its satire" to escape criticism for their bigotry. - That "CTE is the only disease that is allowed to be made fun of.." tweet is actually insane. I'm always shocked at how often people refuse to acknowledge history.

I’ve refused to watch football for years because of CTE. This year, the youngest person was diagnosed at 15. I’m glad more people are speaking up about it.

fyi: the largest group of people with cte usually go undiagnosed. its women. due to severe dv. and more women will be exposed to dv than men will play in the nfl. but we only focus on the men of the nfl experiencing it. however that isnt without its tragedy as the majority of nfl players are actually black men. so cte is really the long lasting impacts of violence on marginalized people.

I’m from Football City USA. We produce the most NFL players in the county! I have a degree in athletic training. I am married to a former D1 football player. CTE is so much worse and so much more prevalent than we think it is. The is only the tip of the iceberg.

He accurately portrayed decorticate posturing, it’s a significant brain injury above the brainstem. That is the position that Tua fell in that game a few years back. There is another type of posturing that is worse, Decerebrate posturing. (Any neuro folk in here, correct me if I am wrong).
