@kaliswaran392: In this video, I break down the major news regarding the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issuing a temporary "Prohibition of Sale" order on the compounded hing (asafoetida) powders of Everest and Laljee Godhoo (LG). FSSAI surveillance testing revealed that these products were substandard and heavily adulterated with cheap starch fillers. While Everest dropped its pure resin content down to 0–3% (instead of the required 5%), LG packed its raw materials with up to 32% starch fillers when the legal limit is just 1%. Watch the full video in Tamil to understand exactly why this temporary ban happened and what it means for your kitchen! . . . #FSSAI #EverestHing #LGHing #FoodSafety
