I’m 64. I had my three year-old granddaughter. I had a stop to pick up food at one restaurant we both got out walked in the restaurant grab the food went back in the car went to the next restaurant got out got the food. Went back in the car wasn’t that difficult?

Personally, I NEVER left my children unattended anywhere. When I would go shopping they came with me as I got or returned a cart. When I arrived home the children were brought into the house before the ice cream, eggs, milk etc. If I wanted to stop for an errand and kids were asleep and I didn't want to wake them, I pushed the errand to later. Children in your house in a bassinet, cars eat, playpen while you unload groceries are safe. Children in a car in a parking lot are not.
