Update: saw another video of this situation and sadly this person didnt make it. They almost made it but got swept up in the end. Lesson here is clear…dont stand and watch. Run. This person lost their life bacause they stood there in the beginning watching instead of running. rIP

I think he got swept away by the water. I saw the original video, on the background the girl was shouting the man got swept away.

Maybe that person was waiting for his family to come out, who might still have been inside the house. It’s really hard to form an opinion based solely on the videos, because we don’t know what was happening at that moment. Regardless, it must have been an incredibly traumatic experience for him to watch his house and possibly his family being swept away by the flood. I don’t think we can truly understand what he was going through just by watching a video.
