The prices are ridiculous… a good desi dresses should be from $198-$500. I am seeing $800-$3000 dresses (non bridal dresses) 🤦🏽♀️

Pakistani designers do have a lot of discrepancies when it comes to pricing. I would highly recommend an older collection of Sania Maskatiya you should definitely find something in your budget. Also an FTa kalidaar would make a great wedding guest outfit. Kaftans are also great option for a guest outfit and many brands are making those. Hope this helps :)

Many designers do really nice unstitched formals. Husain Rehar, MNR etc. Even after paying for stitching it ends up being cheaper. But obviously stitching and the whole process is much easier if you’re in Pakistan

do you have a specific style you like? I usually get formals for friends weddings from Jazmin, Mushq, Rabia Zahur, Kastoor, or Ayzel. If it’s in the family, I’ll probably splurge on a Maya, Faiza Saqlain, or Suffuse. There are brands in the 200-300 range (which is still a lot tbh) but they’ll be machine embroidered

My niece just had a ZuriaDor replica made for her Walima for $1,000. The same outfit, when we reached out to ZD, we were quoted $6,000 ( shipping not included ). The replica came with a full train and veil and shipping included. The work (kaam) on this outfit was so beautifully done, intricate and just wow. The package weighed 20 kg ! The outfit was above our expectations ! I would say it was better than the ZD outfit. Another niece liked an outfit, was quoted $900. We had the same outfit made for $200 ! We asked for a less heavy dupatta and an extra pair of palazzos to change up this outfit.
