As someone who was there… it was not advertised that there would be openers and they were not announced so nobody knew who they were. We were also not given a time frame and were told shaq would be performing at 7, so when it was nearing 8:30 and no headliner and no information people were frustrated. That obviously doesn’t condone bad behavior or etiquette. A SMALL group of 5-8 people chanted “we want shaq” MAYBE 6 times if that. Mind you, those 8 people were in a crowd of probably 1000 people ready to enjoy the concert. As an artist there are times when you should “stick up for yourself” but also times as a performer where you realize the show must go on. They also did not give any information after they left as to why they were leaving and when shaq would be coming on. Had the audience waiting for 30 minutes with no performers and no updates. Could’ve been handled better by all parties involved

People are so fucking rude to openers these days. Reminds me of this the TikToker who made a hate videos about Sombrs opener and was like “who let this nobody open for sombr?” And the poor opener was in the comments like “sorry my music isn’t for everyone but you didn’t have to be so mean” and the CREATOR OF THE VIDEO then had the balls to reply with some fake positivity now that they were caught red handed, and was like “omg no, the venue was just fucking you over! It was just the sound quality babes!” Like why are people so unapologetically horrible to smaller artists.

the people that are complaining about how they were “unprofessional for leaving” aren’t true fans. BF was so valid for leaving. also, they left after DJ which means they had a good 4-5 songs to give the show a try before it was unbearable so they obviously tried their best to give an amazing show. and yes i’d back them up for almost anything but at the same time i can look back and see how that would be hell
