they don't work when you get over 15v they burn out very fast. been doing this for years have to use a Dc to DC drop-down

use plastic riser and mount the amp about 1 inch up in the air, spacers for wall mount tvs work great and get directional fans that blow air underneath it bud. works way better. i hook mine up the same way , remote and ground

For those wondering, the thing holding the sand into the amplifier is butyl putty, you can use whatever you want just make sure there’s a gap under it for air to move
