After leaving the hotel, we unloaded our luggage from the car only to discover that personalised leather luggage tags had quietly been made with our initials and attached to our bags. One final beautiful surprise, discovered only after we had already left. That, to me, is what makes an exceptional luxury hotel: not just five-star surroundings, but a level of attention and hospitality that turns a stay into a memory.
