howards story arc was so unpredictable in a refreshing way, tragic but very unique ending compared to other characters. most characters in the bb universe start off as good people that the audience likes and they get more irredeemable as the show goes on. Howard seems like a snobby stuck up rich dude at the start but by the end of the show we realize he was a decent and pretty fair man who was willing to fix problems and avoid holding grudges. Yet he died unexpectedly, for no purpose or reason. just a meaningless death that reminds the audience that life isn’t guaranteed and your storyline may finish on a random Tuesday night. Similar to llewelyn moss in no country for old men
