I’m making the decision at 17 to surrender myself back to the state here soon before my 18th bday, just so I know I will have the help I need to make sure I make a good life for myself. I have an amazing boyfriend and we’ve been together for a long time, but we both agree it’s smarter for me to take the help from the state than to depend on him for help where I don’t have parental figures.

PLEASE TAKE THIS ADVICE❤️❤️she is literally speaking my life I gave my whole life to a husband and 3 kids 30 years later I am looking at a divorce and no security because I stayed at home and raised 3 kids four if you include him 😒 anywho yeah 48 years old and working minimum wage jobs is a real eye opener to say the least 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️

Never thought I'd be a widow at 48. So thankful that I was an RN to be able to support myself. Life insurance only goes so far. I lost over half of my household income. Social security does not help out unless you're 60 or disabled. My son got the survivor benefit until he turned 18, which is ridiculous because he was in school full-time and working 2 part-time jobs. My mom raised me to be able to support myself and not to depend on a man for financial security. Great advice!💜

Seriously! I never went to college, but landed an office job around 21 in an industry I knew nothing about. Fell in love with it, worked my way up and am now nationally accredited in my field. Women need to be self sufficient!

My mama begged me to not go from my fathers house to my husbands house. She was right I didn’t listen. Went back to school at 33 and got my paralegal degree and met an amazing man who owns 37 rental houses.

YES! If you don’t want to go to college, learn a trade. Set yourself up to be able to take care of yourself. Always have a way out! You never know when you will need it. Started over after 17 years.
