@hillary_klug: Four pairs of shoes. Four VERY different sounds. 👣😂 When I first started fiddling and dancing, you could hardly get me out of my trusty Frye harness boots. They had the look, they were loud enough for street performing and festivals, and that big clippity-clop sound became part of what people associated with my dancing. But as I grew as a dancer and musician, I started listening differently. A shoe that works great onstage doesn't necessarily work great in the recording studio. So while making Dancing Fiddler, I experimented with all kinds of shoes, surfaces, steps, and sounds. And somehow…the silliest-looking option won. 😂 Those foam-soled TOMS sandals sliding across a gritty concrete floor gave me this soft, wispy rhythmic sound that sat beautifully underneath the music instead of fighting for attention. Would I wear them onstage? Absolutely not. 😂 Would I record an album in them? Apparently, yes. So now I want to know: Which pair LOOKS the best? And which pair SOUNDS the best? 👀👂 1️⃣ Frye harness boots 2️⃣ Wingtip Oxford shoes 3️⃣ Frye combat boots 4️⃣ TOMS foam-soled sandals Tell me your two picks! Best LOOK + best SOUND. 👇 🎻 Dancing Fiddler — out now 💿
