@gooshtwad: another edit on Nader shah. sorry if this one is crap I was tired Nader Shah’s Invasion of the Mughal Empire Nader Shah’s invasion of the Mughal Empire in 1738–1739 was one of the most dramatic military campaigns of the eighteenth century. At the time, the Mughal Empire was still enormous, but it had been weakened by internal divisions, political instability, and the growing independence of provincial rulers. Nader Shah, the powerful ruler of Iran, saw an opportunity to expand his influence and secure enormous wealth for his empire. Nader Shah initially entered Mughal territory after tensions developed along the Mughal–Iranian frontier. The Mughal government had failed to effectively control its northwestern borders, allowing Afghan groups to cross into Iranian territory. Nader Shah demanded action from the Mughal authorities, but negotiations failed. He subsequently launched a major invasion through Afghanistan and into northern India. The decisive confrontation occurred at the Battle of Karnal on 24 February 1739. The Mughal army was vastly larger than Nader Shah’s force, but Nader’s troops were better organised and more experienced. Nader used mobile cavalry, disciplined infantry, and artillery to exploit weaknesses in the Mughal army. The battle ended in a crushing Mughal defeat, and Emperor Muhammad Shah was forced to negotiate with Nader. Nader Shah then entered Delhi alongside Muhammad Shah. Although an agreement was initially reached, violence erupted in the city after rumours spread that Nader Shah had been killed. Nader ordered his soldiers to suppress the uprising, resulting in a devastating massacre. The invasion produced enormous wealth for Nader Shah. He took vast quantities of treasure from Delhi, including the famous Peacock Throne and the Koh-i-Noor diamond, although the exact history of these objects is sometimes disputed. The enormous wealth he acquired allowed him to reduce taxes in Iran for several years. Nader Shah eventually withdrew from India in 1739, taking his enormous treasure with him. His invasion demonstrated the severe military and political weakness of the Mughal Empire and marked a major turning point in its decline. #edit #trending #historytok #animefyp #fyp
