i just had to write a few arguments for or against the death penalty based on what I agree with for my criminology preparatory work for college, and rape was immediately my first point. i'm for the death penalty.

I agree but think about the logistics of that. Most rapists, def those who harm children, get close with their victim first. People may be a lot less inclined to rapport if they know it will mean the other person dies. Could also be used to manipulate “if you tell someone you kill me”. Victims could start to believe that
