Heyy so unpaid trials are illegal! You can tell the council, and even Pursue them legally for it! I would message them to pay you what they rightfully owe you or else you will tell the council and take legal action :)

People! If you go for a trial shift and they refuse to pay you, you have 3 months from that day to report them to ACAS! Do not let them get away with free labour! That’s why they have so many young people on trial shifts! So many unfortunately don’t know their rights.

I worked with them for two weeks and left asap when i realized how dodgy they were, they never paid me until i filed a small courts case against them & eventually got my money back almost 7 months later because i refused to drop the case lol

omg they did this to me but they took my passport and scanned it, I did 3 shifts and I kept asking if there was a contract I could sign and they kept saying the other manager will bring it hence why I haven’t been given anything to sign yet then when I ‘quit’ bc it was so sus they started spam calling me on WhatsApp and I explained I was suspicious and they started just laughing and calling me a stupid girl 💀 also I asked how to get paid and they never paid me

They have those vacancy signs up 24/7 . It’s weird. I remember I went to apply just for some extra income from my regular job. They were telling me I need to be a Fashion student blah blah blah… I have years of experience in retail and hospitality. I don’t need a Fashion degree to sell overpriced secondhand clothes 😂 thank gosh

Omg I had an INSANELY similar experience down to ‘do you want to stay later?’, the smiling thing - he gave me 3 single pound coins and told me to go to a coffee shop and get a coffee to wake myself up so I look less tired and happier…. , I feel like I ought to make a video bc I had such an insane experience w them
