I have flight anxiety and honestly after so much misery, I finally talked to my doctor about it and got a prescription for the lowest dose of Xanax. Life changing for travel. It’s just enough to take the edge off and help me sleep on overnight flights.

Join the waitlist for the lounges before you get there like right when you land or once you deplane. Amex platinum lounges can take forever to get into at a lot of airports. You can sign up for the waitlist in the Amex app!

Okay yes wow I struggle with this and after many cross country flights I definitely have a little routine going now too! 1) I eat really well the day before and day-of. Protein & hydration. 2) I wear compression socks and pick an aisle seat so I can easily get up and go to the bathroom once or twice. 3) I always have a water bottle AND a Gatorade on the flight, along with a good snack or two. 4) I also have my lists!! Both productive and fun items 5) when I go to the restroom, I splash water on my face and neck 6) I try to wear a comfortable travel outfit that I also feel good & put together-ish in! 7) def have access to Dramamine 8) if I try to sleep, I only lay back on the seat. I used to lay in my arms on the tray table and it took me a while to realize it made me dizzy which was horrible for flight anxiety which brings me to the last item 8) always carry disinfecting wipes to I can make my seat and tray nice and clean bc who knows last time they were cleaned!

I also get very motion sick/nauseas during travel and have a lot of plan anxiety! The motion sickness pills in the US have never worked for me but if you’re ever in the UK, go to their drugs store and get Kwells. It has a different active ingredient that they don’t sell in the US and it works sooo much better IMO! ❤️

The lounge is 1000% worth it! It’s nice to be able to escape the tense energy of the main airport. Also, just finished widows bay and it’s so good! Definitely accurately classified as a comedy horror. Not super scary but definitely more interesting spooky.

As an emetophobe thank you for taking meds for motion sickness lol take away half my anxiety when I’m traveling or in public if I’m surrounded by people who take care of them selves this way!

Lounges are absolutely worth it! We just traveled to Australia with our 4 year old and the lounge saved us on the longer layovers 🙌

I have had literally every premium travel card and Amex platinum is by far my favorite. I use the resy credits and the lulu lemon credits religiously to offset the annual fee
