And also, we have OTHER competitive sports happening in Shreveport tonight. 😂 My son-in-law is entering a PIZZA-EATING CONTEST at Saint Laurent Pizza on Line Avenue, and we’re going to be there around 6:00 tonight to watch this foolishness unfold. 🤣 He is little bitty and I do not know who told this man he could put away that much pizza, but I guess we’re about to find out! So if y’all are around Shreveport tonight, come on out and watch him either become a pizza-eating champion or make himself SICK. 😂🍕 Now, back to today’s actual recipe! I making Strawberry Pretzel Pecan Salad inspired by Julia’s Fav’s, and OH MY GOODNESS, y’all. This may be one of my new favorite little dessert salads I’ve ever made. Sweet, salty, creamy, crunchy, strawberry goodness. It’s got EVERYTHING. 🍓 STRAWBERRY PRETZEL PECAN SALAD Brickle: • 1 cup crushed pretzels • 1 cup pecan pieces • 3/4 cup butter • 3/4 cup brown sugar Preheat oven to 425°. Mix everything together, spread it out on a cookie sheet and bake for about 7 minutes. Let it cool completely, then break it into little crunchy pieces. Creamy strawberry mixture: • 1 brick cream cheese, softened • About 1/2 cup granulated sugar, or a little more • About 1 tsp vanilla • About 3 cups Cool Whip • 1 pint fresh strawberries, chopped Mix the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add the Cool Whip and strawberries, then once your pretzel-pecan brickle is completely cooled, break it up and mix it in. THAT’S IT! Sweet, salty, creamy, crunchy and absolutely DELICIOUS. 🙌🏼 Thank you, Julia’s Fav’s, for this one because it is a KEEPER! ❤️ Y’all try this!
