@maximalnostalgia: Saturday mornings in the ’80s just felt different. You woke up early without an alarm because you knew the cartoons were already starting. A bowl of cereal in front of the TV, somebody making breakfast in the kitchen, and absolutely nowhere you needed to be for the rest of the morning. Then eventually somebody yelled that it was time to get dressed and go somewhere. You grabbed your Walkman for the car ride and hoped you’d be back before your friends came outside.
