Girl, first of all, I LOVE your content. 🥹 I’m genuinely so grateful I discovered you at this point in my life. You’re so calming, human and natural, and it feels so good seeing you every time I open this app.
When you said “rejection is redirection,” it really hit me. I’m from Gabon, and after high school I decided to pursue my studies in South Korea because I’ve always been a globetrotter and wanted to experience life somewhere completely different. I got into Seoul National University to study Korean as part of the process of becoming a full-time student there, then applied to two universities for my Bachelor’s. After a year of trying so hard, I got rejected, partly because they had difficulties verifying my transcripts because I came from a small African country. It was incredibly frustrating and honestly sent me into a really dark place.
But that rejection redirected me to France. I graduated with my Bachelor’s, and in one week I’m starting my final year of my Master’s! I’ve also been working alongside my studies for the past four years, so I’m about to graduate with a Master’s AND 5 years of work experience. 🥹
Looking back, I’m actually so grateful things didn’t work out the way I wanted. I’m so proud of where I am now. Thank you for sharing your story with us, and congratulations on your acceptance !! ❤️
