I grew up with someone who NEVER understood boundaries and perceived privacy as a threat. The fact that she feels entitled to his space, after knowing she violated a very important aspect of his life, means she didn’t learn her lesson, and he’s still paying the price

if my spouse broke my trust by reading a journal with my private thoughts/issues, then I wouldn't trust them with my office. and forgiveness isn't the same as acceptance. just because you're forgiven doesn't mean I've accepted your actions.

Unfortunately some of these comments not understanding that the room started being locked *because* she broke the trust and read the journal and are acting like they’re two separate scenarios are exactly why writers are feeling the need to tell an audience everything now in media.
