I have several questions about the Xbox announcement 1. if they do this with 360 games providing the game is played on the 360 and not a xbone or series does that mean 2 copies of the same disc are essentially in existence? 2. if you put it in your system and download it to any system providing you dont connect it to the internet can syou still play it

can someone smarter than me explain how the disc thing works though? like how does it know when you no longer have the disc in your possession. like I have a physical copy of Skyrim if I were to learn that to somebody else how would the system know that I no longer own the game

for anyone confused on how the disc thingy works, basically a game disc is a just a license that allows you to install/play that game, and before this feature you had to have the disc in the console to be able to install/play the game. this feature just allows that license to be separated from the disc and your account is given a digital license for the game 🫵😎 when you sell or just give someone else the disc, it gives their account the digital license whenever they insert the disc into their console and revokes it from your account (obviously it could be given back to you or anyone else) ALSOOOOOO that game could be played on pc as well, and NO you don’t need gamepass you would just need the xbox app on pc (pretty sure its already installed) and you could install it 👍
