His ability to operate in isolation, hit difficult jumpers and completely take over fourth quarters has made him the heart of New York’s offense. Brunson’s game is built on control rather than overwhelming athleticism. He constantly changes speeds, gets defenders leaning the wrong way and finds ways to manufacture points when possessions become difficult. 🇨🇦 SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER — THE MVP And then there’s Shai. After already establishing himself as one of the league’s elite players, SGA took another massive step. In 2025–26, he averaged 31.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists, while shooting an incredible 55.3% from the field. He won his second consecutive MVP and led Oklahoma City to a 64-win season. Shai’s greatest weapon is his ability to get exactly where he wants on the court. His hesitation moves, unusual pace, length and elite finishing make defenders constantly guess. He can slow the game down, attack the rim, stop for a mid-range jumper or create a shot without needing excessive dribbling. And his consistency is ridiculous — he recorded 127 consecutive games with at least 20 points, an incredible demonstration of how rarely he disappears offensively. Three players.
