This video hits me close to home as well. There were times growing up where I was definitely a misfit and it was hard to find people who would actually like and respect me. I started going to wonderland regularly after alpenfury opened to the public last July. One month after I lost a previous friend group from Pennsylvania/Ohio. One of them was a girl I liked for a while and invited me to take her to cedar point. At the time I thought she knew I liked her because I made it clear but after I tried making a move on the front row of Top Thrill 2, she never really spoke to me ever again. She posted on instagram on her private account a recap of cedar point and said “it was good but have had better days there”. Clearly that hurt my feelings but the worst was yet to come. She apparently wanted me out of the group ever since our day at cedar point and once we all went to cedar point as a group. The group would pretend to play hide and seek with me basically meaning abandon me then complained when I wanted to do something by myself for a bit. Hope (the girl I liked last year) then made a 6 page essay and bulleted points which all listed insults and complaints about me. She even put compliments I gave her on there and used those against me as well. A month later alpenfury opened and I found a new place where I don’t have to see those people from Waldameer anymore and met some new people that I’ve had great memories with including yourself!! There was a new friend that I recognized here from Darien lake who unfortunately wasn’t the greatest towards me as he was controlling and made me stressed out all the time. Some people unfortunately are selfish and will try to make me do whatever they wanted me to do. I then liked another girl who would barely talk to me at all so it was easy to assume she did not like me back. It was then a really difficult winter where i felt like I lost my spark and willingness to be happy. What got me through it was making a lot of money doing gig app deliveries and seeing my favorite hockey team emerge. In March during spring break my grandma passed which did not make anything easier.
