I wouldn’t collect points with either. Pricing a flight to Orange County cash vs. miles was 0.9¢. So 4,000 Alaska points would be 4000x.009=$36. Delta points are pretty mid too from the searches I’ve done. I still have like 400k with both airlines, but I switched to cash back for my credit card.

Seattle to Pdx isn’t 4.5 hours. I can drive Manzanita to Seattle in 4 hours. But back to your original question. Yes switch. I did. Since the merger with Hawaiian air, their prices have gotten higher without the same service that Delta gives. If my ticket is going to cost almost the same I’m definitely flying Delta every time.
