i found the traffic light method helpful! once you have all your notes written or typed out, review them, and go back and highlight things you know well in green, things you kinda know in yellow, and things you don’t remember in red. it helped me find what to focus more on!

don’t read the required material, especially if you’re not a reader. Find what works for you. I graduated magna cum laude and never owned a book. Lecture + YouTube + simple nursing was all I needed. When I took my nclex, archer + simple nursing and passed first try

Tbh I have Claude make study guides based on my chapter/powerpoint, read through everything, then start having Claude make practice exams, every question wrong is highlighted to go back and I keep retesting myself to practice application rather than remembering

Make your own study guide based on LOs and fill it out after class. By the time it’s exam time you have your entire study guide filled out and then you flash card and case study til you drop

One of my biggest hacks would be to turn your PowerPoint presentations into a word doc that way you can either write ( on iPad or paper) or type in red font color underneath the bullet points about what your professor is saying during the lecture! That way, everything is in one section so when you go to make a study guide, everything in black was the PowerPoint. Everything in red was a note you took.

Notebook LM!! You can upload any docs/PPT’s/notes into the sources section, and then anytime you ask the chat questions it’s only going to answer questions that it can get information from your own sources you uploaded (like it won’t use the web to search only what you feed it)!! And it creates podcasts, quizzes, slideshows, infographics etc it’s the best

Study after lecture, review your notes, then info dump try using a whiteboard write everything you remember in one color doesn’t matter if it correlates as long as it’s information you need for your exams then after you can’t remember any more fill in the blanks with a different color this has been my saving grace

if your school uses ATI, USE ATI. the questions they have on the dynamic quizzing are just like the ones on the NCLEX. notebook lm is your friend also

Gizmo, NotebookLM, Active recall. if your school uses ATI the dynamic quizzing feature is amazing! also having someone to study with you and quiz/bounce off of each other is good. Good luck !!

If it helps any I don’t have a life tn because of how much I’m studying lol but active recall, teach back, AI nclex practice questions and notebook LM reading my textbook back to me. Also inputting all my USLOs along with my textbook pdf and PowerPoints into chat to make those questions really help too

Go through words/phrases u don’t know rewrite meanings over and over. Read something 3 times . Once silently one out loud and then finally teach back

I will take the study guide if one is provided, or create my own based on lecture notes, upload to chat gpt and ask it to give me YouTube videos that correspond to the material. I watch those first to kind of prime my brain before I do a heavy study session
