@jcdebunking: at this rate i’m gonna run out of out of place artifacts to debunk, they better start making new ones #archaeology #conspiracytheory #debunked #ancienthistory #ancientaliens
There was 100% cross Atlantic trade way before Columbus and possibly before the Norse

When my dad discovered I was an atheist, he got really confused and asked me "How do you explain some things then?" And I was just like.. ????? You don't? You just don't. It's that simple. That's what *research* is all about. The fact that you can't understand something without immediately attributing it to some higher power with no effort to further understand otherwise is just asinine.

i recently had someone online claim that ancient Egyptian wooden artefacts must be face because 'wood rots'... not only have I held ancient Egyptian wooden artefacts, I've photographed part of a 500,000 year old wooden structure... some people just barely know anything

My favourite fact about the Lori's Reis Map is that the part that people claim is the Antártida has an inscription, it says that the Portuguese did not land in those lands because they were very hot and they were full of big snakes, which is not what I would picture when talking about Antarctica.

Eh, I don’t really buy the trading hypothesis for the Roman head, some of the Viking artifacts were traded, but the farthest south they’ve been found was Maine, and it was a small coin, nothing in there scale of a large stone head in Mexico, I think it’s either a hoax or a mesoamerican artifact that just kind of looks Roman

Re: the Iron pillar of Delhi, a lot of those explanations make no sense. Delhi doesn’t have a “pure (whatever that means) dry climate”. It’s subtropical, and rains essentially nonstop for 3 months in the monsoons. Also while there is also corrosion on the bottom, it’s the part that was buried in the ground (it was originally a temple flagpole). The coating with ceremonial butter also isn’t a thing. It’s a misunderstanding of the concept of temple purification rites, which are repeated every 12 years, where temple fixtures are ceremonially bathed in milk, ghee, water, etc. As a temple flagpole it potentially received that treatment once a decade, definitely not enough to prevent corrosion. It was pillaged and bought to Delhi about a thousand years ago.

It's funny how science says we can explain it but it's just a guess. With that logic I can explain anything any way I want and call it science.
