I keep thinking about, also, what's best for the public may not be what's best for the defendant here, in that we're a society of people watching women's rights being eroded before our very eyes, and we need to see someone prevail over yet another man putting a woman away with just his word --- but what she needs is constant supervision and expensive medical care so that she is safe, and her family isn't bankrupted.
